I can not praise this salon highly enough and after moving away from the area I am dreading having to find a new hairdressers as this one has set the bar so high! I am someone who has (in the past) felt quite uncomfortable having my hair cut in some salons but from the minute I walked in on my first visit a number of years ago I felt relaxed and at ease here. You are greeted at the door, your coat taken and offered a drink immediately. The drinks are lovely and you can even have a bucks fizz or cheeky glass of wine! All the staff are very friendly. Lois who has done my hair for a number of years now was brillinat on my first visit when I wanted a change of style. She suggested colours and styles for me to choose from, where as at other salons I had been asked what I wanted and usually came out with the same old do! There are plenty of magazines to look at whilst having your hair coloured and there is a lovely back wash area which is very relaxing. They also have a loyalty card which they stamp each time you visit. After 2 visits you get a free product, after 4 a free hair treatment and on your sixth visit a free cut. The only thing to be aware of is that it is only valid for 6 months from the date of issue. This does seem strange as you would need to get your hair done every month to benefit from the free cut but on producing my card at my sixth appointment I was a little disappointed to find I could not receive the discount. That aside, I used to dread having my hair cut but must say that for the last few years I have thoroughly looked forward to my appointments and "me time" at MacleodBradley. Thank you to all the staff there, especially Lois and if I am ever in the area and need a trim - I will be back!
